The Samsung Galaxy S22 has a pleasingly dinky 6.1-inch display and weighs just 168 grams, making it one of the smallest and lightest smartphones available in 2022. It's very easy to fondle one-handed despite those flatter edges, and it slips breezily into pretty much any pocket or bag, so just like the Galaxy S21 from last year, it's definitely one for those of us with more stumpy fingers. Otherwise, if you want to be editing your photos, you want to have a more natural appearance.However, if left to its own devices, it can scale between 120 hertz for supported content all the way down to just 10 hertz to save power when necessary. And yes, you've got a stereo speaker set up on both of these blows, as you'd expect. Early impressions are good. You know, you can reach a decent respectable volume once you crank it all the way up and the audio quality stays solid and subtle, with headphone jacks as usual, which is bloody annoying but In all of these blows, Samsung's own Exynos 2200 soc, which was only released last

You've got the brand new X-Clip GPU, which may have a wacky name but allows all sorts of
clever graphics acrobatics like ray tracing, which you won't even get on Qualcomm's super muscular Snapdragon ear gen 1. I'm hoping at least a couple will be announced during the launch, but
we'll see. Unfortunately, my Galaxy S22 hands-on session did not include enough time
to be sniped in the face by annoying schoolchildren over and over again, so you'll have to stay
tuned for my unboxing and review to see if it can handle games like Call of Duty: The Genji Impacts and all of that without any complaints, as well as online titles like Call of Duty Mobile and PS4 titles. The big whoop about wi-fi 6e is that basically the s22 plus will also run on the 6 gigahertz wifi channel
as well as the standard 2.4 and 5, so you know, big whoop if you've got a wi-fi 6c router,
but now battery life. While the s22 plus has a perfectly respectable sized 4 500 milliamp capacity
cell stuffed inside of that gigantic frame, and the miniature s22 has a perfectly respectable The only hope is that the exodus 2200 chipset is so energy efficient that it makes a huge difference and we get all-day reliable battery life from this thing, but that's something I can't say for sure and have to really slap my sim inside.
The standard s22 makes do with 25 watts of wide charging, which is pretty slow compared to
a lot of the competition. Even budget phones these days tend to come with at least 33 watts of wide charging. Thankfully, the plus model bumps that up to 45 watts, which is a lot more respectable. In terms of wireless charging, you've got the usual 15-watt wireless recharge, but you've also
got that wireless power.Finally, let's take a look at the camera tech. Both the Galaxy S22 and the S22 Plus have the same camera setup with no upgrades if you spend the extra cash on the plus. We're talking a 50 megapixel primary camera here with built-in optical image stabilization, which is a
big step up from last year's 12 megapixel effort and so far seems to really do the job nicely. Of course,
I'll be sure to fully test out the camera tech.Of course, if you're going to be shooting photos, you'll get some blur if there's any motion involved, but the video came out very nicely indeed. Both the s22 and the plus model also pack in a 12 megapixel ultra wide angle lens, just like the previous gen.
